It is with deep sadness that we remember and honor the life and legacy of Dick Darr, co-founder of Capital Project Solutions (CPS), an owner’s representative company established in 2008.
Dick was a true visionary whose leadership, integrity, and commitment to excellence helped shape CPS into a respected organization throughout Nashville and the construction industry. His influence extended far beyond projects and business success. At his core, Dick was an employee-focused leader who genuinely believed that investing in people was the key to building a great company.
Throughout his career, Dick was always looking for ways to help employees grow professionally and personally. He championed continuous learning and development, establishing the “CPS Employee Certification Program” and “CPS University”, initiatives that empowered employees to expand their knowledge, strengthen their skills, and advance their careers. His passion for mentoring others created opportunities that continue to benefit CPS today.
Well known and highly respected throughout the Nashville community, Dick built lasting relationships based on trust, professionalism, and mutual respect. He earned the admiration of colleagues, clients, contractors, and industry leaders alike through his wisdom, and unwavering dedication to doing what was right.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dick was known for his positive outlook on life and his willingness to help anyone in need. He approached challenges with optimism, encouraged others during difficult times, and generously shared his knowledge and experience. Whether offering guidance to a young professional, supporting a colleague, or lending a helping hand to a friend, Dick was always ready to serve others.
Dick’s legacy lives on through the company he helped build, the people he mentored, and the countless lives he touched. His vision, leadership, kindness, and belief in the potential of others will continue to inspire us for years to come.
We are grateful for the privilege of having known and worked alongside Dick Darr. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever honored.
Rest in peace, Dick. Your impact endures, and your legacy lives on.
